Color and Shape

Creole Dancers, 1951 by Henri Matisse, The Matisse Museum.

As he was losing his eye sight, Matisse continued to work late in his career creating works (particularly collages) out of bits and pieces of color and shape.

He might have been losing his sight but not his "eye"!

A great piece to offset this rainy morning!

Some geniuses are lose touch of their craft due to medical conditions (Beethoven's deafness), good thing there are procedures nowadays that could prevent these.
